Ashwagandha root (Withania Somnifera) also referred to as Indian ginseng, has been used in traditional Indian medicine for centuries. It is classified as an adaptogen, indicating its ability to assist the body in managing stress. There has been studies that has shown that it can reduce cortisol levels, improve mood and sleep quality. Furthermore, it has been suggested that it may elevate testosterone levels. Additionally, it is believed to possess anti-inflammatory properties, may help support immune system function, and could aid in better blood sugar regulation.
